It’s here again, The Evanston Big Fork Show- 11am-6pm Saturday, 10am-5pm Sunday. it looks to be a great weather weekend, so I hope to see you there. I’m at booth 149 across the street from Jimmy John’s on Sherman St., Evanston.

I’ll be showing my jewelry, and while you may have heard I have also been doing wall art, that reveal will take place later in the season, most likely at the Holiday One of a kind Show.

I’ve been working on upgrading my artistic pursuits this summer by learning in person from some of the well known artists in the enameling field- Namely Harlan Butt and Mi Sook Hur. Some of these things will take a little time to develop. I am looking forward to later fall after I’ve had time to digest and continue my art.

The Glenview Art League Summer Art Fair - July 18th and 19th 2026

In just two weeks I’ll be at The Glenview Summer Art Fair where I’ll be selling my jewelry. The Fair takes place on the parking lot of Attea School at 1500 Chestnut Ave. in Glenview, IL., July 18th and 19th from 11am-5pm both days. This is the second longest running art show in Illinois! For good reason- I’ve seen the work of these artists, and they are worth checking out. I hope to see you there!

Mother's Day Popup Sale and Critters and Blooms Exhibition at the Lillstreet Art Center

The Group Metalsmith studio, along with the ceramic studios is having a Mother’s Day Sale, tomorrow May 2nd from 11:00-5:00, at Lillstreet, 4401 N. Ravenswood, Chicago. Our group will be showing our jewelry all day.

Spring One of a Kind Show

It’s time again for the One of a Kind Show. I’ll be at the Merchandise Mart, Booth 2084 April 24-26 10 AM- 7 PM Friday and Saturday, 10 AM-5 PM Sunday. I’ve really got a lot of wonderful jewelry. One of a Kind Spring Show

The Fine Art of Fiber

Did you know tomorrow, November 7th is a free admission day at the Chicago Botanic Garden? Parking is not included. Preregistration is required. www.chicagobotanic.org. It’s the first day of three of The Fine Art of Fiber. Come see the fashion show at 11:00 am tomorrow, then check out some beautiful quilts and other needle arts and other fiber art. After that, make sure you visit the Boutique where you can buy goods and gifts handmade by our guild members. This is a show put on by three guilds, and is a testament to how volunteers can put on a premier needlearts show. if you have an inclination to join us, then you can find out more there about our guilds. I’ve been a member for at least 2 decades. The show will be open November 7-9 2025 at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

I hope you’ll stop by and check out my jewelry for sale in the Boutique. I have one table and it is located if you walk straight through the Boutique doors and past the checkout area. Just look for my black necklace and earring stands. If you come to some of my shows, you’ll spot it!

Art at the Barn September 27th and 28th

I’m going to spend another day Sunday at my spot in the Machine Shed building at The Art of the Barn on the grounds of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 West Highway 22, Barrington, IL. 60010 selling my jewelry. I’ll be there with Rick, my husband from 10am to 5pm. I hope to see you there!

An exploration of Metals, Techniques and Ideas by the Lillstreet Metals Department.

Come join me and the rest of the Lillstreet Metals Department at an opening reception September 4th 5:00-9:00pm. The work is also on view until September 30th.

The backbone of the Metals department has always been the instructors, monitors, and technicians who keep the department running, growing, and teaching each new generation of Metalsmiths.

Deerfield Art Festival- The first of my summer shows!

This is the first of the outdoor shows, and I will be excited to present some new enameled jewelry. To educate the public about enameling I plan to bring my enamel watercolors and do some on the spot. I have always loved demonstrating a craft, but enameling is a little different. I won’t be able to pop the piece into the kiln to see the result. However, I can show you some of the methods I use to get a design onto the enamel canvas. Holiday Shows- The Evanston Art Center, and Lillstreet Art Center

Still looking for holiday gifts? This is the season where I do several small shows. I have some of my work at The Evanston Art Center which can be viewed during their regular Art Center hours. Also, I will be on hand there on December 4th from 12PM-2PM, and December 12th from 10AM to 12PM. The Evanston Art Center is located at 1717 Central St., Evanston, IL, 60201

And there’s more! At Lillstreet we have 2 Holiday Parties coming up, and you’re invited. There’s a big Holiday Party throughout the whole Art Center at 4401 N Ravenswood Ave., Chicago, IL. 60640 on Friday December 15th from 6-8PM. I will be in the second floor group metals studio. We will have snacks and fun things to buy! My studio mates are amazing and you should check out their handmade jewelry as well as mine.

If that timing doesn’t work for you, come check out the new Metalsmithing department space on Friday December 22 from 5PM-8PM. You will get a chance to see our new classrooms. They are huge! There will be plenty of space for workshop demos, and elbow room for metal smithing, sifting, and more. The monitors and teachers will also have some things for sale.

The Fine Art of Fiber

Come see us at the wonderful Fine Art of Fiber at The Chicago Botanic Garden. This annual show combines the talents of three fiber arts guilds including The North Suburban Needlearts Guild. I have an entry into The Explorations in Fiber exhibit as well as a table in The Boutique. The Explorations in Fiber exhibit is on Trees. Remember that book you read to your kids The Giving Tree? My entry in the exhibit is a large Kumihimo braided tree nodding to that book. Incidentally, my cat Stiller loves the tree, and has spent hours under it, purring, kneading and napping. He seemed a bit concerned as I packed it up to take to the show.

My table in The Boutique is straight past the checkout counter. You can check in at the desk outside that room for a complete list of vendors. It is really just a small selection of my jewelry, so just ask if there is something you might be looking for. Since I am getting over a bout of laryngitis, I will be there everyday for a shortened time, most likely around 12:00-4:00, but if I’m not there at the table, you can ask another vendor for help. The show is open from 10:00-5:00 November 3-5th.

I had a great weekend at the Art in the Barn Show in Barrington. I was so excited to win First in Jewelry at the show this weekend!

You can still catch up with me at The Fine Art of Fiber the first weekend in November. I’ll be in the Boutique most of the time, but also will be part of Explorations in Fiber- the subject this year will be trees. Spoiler alert- I’ve made a very large Kumihimo tree!
